About Us

Mi Bowl Meal is Toronto’s first meal delivery service that caters to the Asian palate. Our weekly menus reflect the asian flavours that remind you of home.

Whether you enjoy our meals on your own, with friends or with family, we’ve designed our products and services to seamlessly integrate into your busy lifestyles.

Our Goals

We aspire to change the way people think about Asian food.

Asian food is sometimes perceived as unhealthy (e.g., greasy, salty, sugary, and full of carbohydrates). At Mi Bowl, we aspire to change that perception. We use healthy oils and minimize the use of sodium and sugar without sacrificing taste. While there are many weight loss and diet programs that focus on eating clean or eliminating certain foods altogether, we don’t believe that approach is sustainable over the long term. We focus on seeking balance by bringing you nutritionally-balanced meals that don’t sacrifice flavour. We believe that offering delicious and filling meals will help you seamlessly integrate eating well into your lifestyle over the long run.

We also believe that Asian food has a rich history and culture that needs to be shared. At Mi Bowl, we aspire to deepen our community’s understanding of Asian culture through cuisine. Launching in Fall 2023, our Rooted through Food campaign (#RootedThroughFood) explores the history, culinary techniques and traditions through our menu. Follow us on instagram for weekly posts.

From Passion to Plate

Hank is Mi Bowl’s Chef and culinary extraordinaire. From a young age, he realized that he loves to cook and take care of people but it wasn’t until university that he realized how much he craved the asian flavours. Studying in Guelph, he found that there weren’t too many asian food options that were healthy and authentic. This set him on the path to create those meals himself. He started his culinary journey at the Four Seasons Hotel where he honed his skills and eventually decided to branch out on his own. By founding Mi Bowl, Hank’s vision is to create healthy asian-inspired meals that are accessible to people in the greater Toronto and surrounding area.

Deepening Community Through Food

Diana holds an MPA and worked for nearly a decade in the public service prior to attending culinary school and joining Mi Bowl. Growing up in one of the most diverse cities in the world, she has a strong interest in the role of food in cultural identity and understanding. This interest was deepened as she started exploring aspects of her own identity as a Chinese-Canadian woman in the corporate environment. She believes that food is a way that people stay connected with their culture and who they are. Through Mi Bowl, her vision is to bring greater awareness and understanding to the rich history and culinary traditions behind Asian food.
