Our Meals

Are your meals ready-to-eat?

Yes, our meals are fresh and ready-to-eat as soon as they arrive! We also have frozen meal options in case that is preferred.

What is “healthy” Asian-Fusion food?

Healthy for us means meals that are nutritionally balanced, high in protein, include healthy fats (e.g., grapeseed and extra virgin olive oil), and minimize the use of added sugars. Where sweetening is needed, we use alternative sugars like monk fruit extract to make it sugar-free.

What makes your meals nutritionally-balanced?

We strive for all our meals to reflect Canada’s recommended food guidelines. 

All our meals include your necessary macronutrients like protein, complex carbohydrates, and fiber. Our meals are also colorful, offering you all the vitamins and minerals you need to thrive (e.g., broccoli, spinach, carrots, zucchini, sweet peppers, bok choy, mushrooms).

How long do Mi BOWL meals stay fresh?

Mi BOWL ready-to-eat meals do not need to be frozen. They can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and should be consumed within seven days of delivery. We recommend consuming any fish/seafood within four days of delivery.

How do I heat up my Mi BOWL meal?

For meals that need to be re-heated, you may do so in the oven or in a microwave. For the microwave, gently tear a hole in the plastic seal (to allow steam to escape as it warms up) and microwave for 2.5 to 3 minutes. To reheat in the oven, transfer the meal into an oven-safe dish and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350F.

Please note that heating times may vary based on microwave and oven strength.

Can I freeze your meals?

Some meals include ingredients that do not freeze and thaw well. For this reason, we do not recommend freezing our fresh ready-to-eat meals. 

If you’re looking for frozen meal options, consider our frozen product offerings.

What do I do if I have a food intolerance or allergy?

All our meals are made from scratch in a commercial kitchen that comes into contact with nuts and other allergens. As such we cannot guarantee there is no cross contamination. 

In some cases we may be able to accommodate dietary preferences. Please let us know when you place your order by leaving a note or connect with us directly here.

Can I get extra protein?

We offer the option of ordering extra meat or protein as an ‘add-on’ to your order. These proteins are vacuum-sealed to preserve longevity in the fridge. We recommend consuming add-ons within seven days of delivery.

Where are your ingredients from?

Our business is based in Toronto. We source our ingredients from a variety of local suppliers and try to use locally grown and organic produce wherever possible.

Where can I find nutritional information for the meals?

Currently, we provide nutritional information for each dish on our Premium bundle menus. 

Since our menus change regularly, this means that once the dish is no longer on the menu for the week, the nutritional information is not readily accessible to you on the website. Our team is currently exploring options to ensure this information remains available for you as our weekly menus change. In the meantime, if you have a question about the nutritional information of your meal please reach out to us directly here.

What is the meaning of “Mi BOWL”?

“Mi” (pronounced “mē”) means “rice granule” in many Chinese languages and dialects. Rice has been a staple food in Asian cuisine for centuries, so we wanted to honour its role by naming our company Mi BOWL.

How many people does one meal serve?

All our meals are sold as one portion that serves one person. Meals from our Premium Healthy Meal bundle typically contain 400-600 calories per portion. Meals from our Weight Loss Bundle contain 300-400 calories per portion.

Can I change the portion size of the meal?

We do not currently offer the option to change portion sizes.

Our Menus and Bundle Options

What is a Mi BOWL bundle?

Mi BOWL bundles are meal plans that we offer. While you may make a one-time order with Mi BOWL, we highly encourage customers to subscribe to a bundle to realize the full benefits of a meal plan delivery service. Our bundle options are also more cost-effective because you receive a 5% discount as a subscriber to our service. Ultimately, we love freeing up your time (and rewarding you too!), so you can focus on you.

What meal bundles do you offer?

We currently offer four meal bundle options. Your meals would be delivered on Monday or Thursday, depending on the bundle you choose. Our bundles are: 

Once you select your bundle, you will be shown the menu options for that particular bundle. You may select which meals you’d like from the menu provided. As long as your order is placed by Thursday, it will be delivered the upcoming Monday or Thursday.  

We currently only offer Monday delivery for the Weight Loss bundle and Bulking Fitness bundle.

How often do you change your bundle menus?

Our menus change on a weekly basis. New menus are released every Sunday morning. You have until 11:59PM Thursday every week to place your order for delivery on Monday or Thursday of the upcoming week.

Do you offer meal plans for special diets (KETO, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc)?

We do not currently offer meal plans with a focus on special diets, however some of our menu items are low calorie, vegetarian and/or gluten-free. We also offer some KETO friendly snacks.

Do you offer anything else?

Beyond our meal bundles, we currently have a selection of breakfast options, healthy snacks, frozen meals and fruits.

Ordering and Payment

Is there an order minimum?

We require a minimum order of $30 for each delivery day.

I’m interested! How do I place an order?

  1. Select your bundle. Please note your bundle determines whether your order will be delivered on Monday or Thursday. 
  2. Select your meals. 
  3. Submit your order. Enter payment information and submit. You’ll also be asked for some key information like your name, contact information, and delivery address. 

If you decide to subscribe, you will receive 5% off, and your orders will be placed automatically on a weekly basis. Not to worry, if you’d like to select your meals you can make those changes by logging into your account and selecting your meals by the order cut-off day and time (11:59PM every Thursday)

I forgot to select my meals before the Thursday cut-off. Can I still select them now?

Our order cut-off for the upcoming week is 11:59PM on Thursdays. Our kitchen team gets started right away on planning and procuring ingredients for the upcoming week’s production and delivery, which makes it very challenging to accommodate orders after the cut-off time. That being said, we may be able to accommodate your order in limited cases. If you’ve forgotten to select your meals, you can get in contact with us here and we’ll do our best to accommodate the request.

I have a subscription. How do I modify my order for the upcoming week?

In order to update the contents of your subscription each week, you’ll need to first log in to your account. Once you’ve done that, go to My Subscriptions, in “View your Next Order,” click “Manage this bundle”. From there you will be able to select your meals from the weekly menu selection. Please remember to make your meal selections by 11:59PM Thursday every week as our kitchen team promptly gets started with ingredient procurement for the upcoming week.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to My Subscriptions, navigate to Manage Subscriptions, then click Cancel Subscription. Make sure to cancel before the order cutoff date (11:59PM on Thursday).

When is my order deadline?

Updated menus are released every Sunday. You have until 11:59PM Thursday to place your order. If you are subscribed to our service, you can choose your meals through the “Manage My Subscription” button when you log in.

I'm getting an error during checkout.

I’m subscribed but want to change my bundle. How do I do that?

If you’d like to change your subscription bundle, log into your account and click on “Manage Subscription.” There will be a “Swap” button, which allows you to change to another bundle.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to downtown Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Richmond Hill, Markham, York, Vaughan, Scarborough, Mississauga, Aurora, Newmarket, and Oakville. 

We also make deliveries to Hamilton on Mondays only and Waterloo and Kitchener on Wednesdays only.

Do I need to be home for the delivery?

You can expect to receive your order between 5PM-10PM on delivery days.

If you won’t be home for the delivery, our team will leave your meals at your doorstep and send proof of delivery. If you live in a condo, we will abide by your condo’s rules regarding food deliveries.

What should I do with the insulated bags and ice packs?

We really appreciate when you return the insulated bags and ice packs as it helps us reduce our environmental impact. Our delivery team will happily accept returned insulated bags and ice packs on your next delivery day, as long as you can leave it at your door by 5pm. What should I do with the plastic food packaging that my meal comes in?

Our containers are BPA-free and 100% recyclable. Just give it a quick rinse before putting it into your blue bin.

Can I track my delivery?

Your order will be delivered between 5PM and 10PM on our delivery days. Our delivery team will send you a SMS Text advising of when they’re on their way. You’ll also receive SMS Text when your order has been delivered.

If I live in a condo, how will my order be delivered?

If you live in a condo, we will abide by your condo’s rules regarding food deliveries. If your condo allows, our delivery persons will leave your meals at your door. Please be sure to include a buzzer so they can be let into the building.

What is your delivery fee?

Our delivery fee is between $10-20, depending on the distance from our production kitchen. If you live within 20km of our kitchen and place an order valued at $190 or above, the delivery is free. You can take a look at our delivery rates here.

How do I report issues with my order or delivery?

Can I pick up my meals in person?

No, currently we are only offering delivery services.

I'm getting the error: "This order can't be shipped to the address you entered."

Our system uses Google Maps to recognize addresses. When entering your address, please select the Google autofill of your address instead of entering it manually. Then enter your billing address separately. If the problem persists, please contact us directly here.
